Karen de Silva and I am a violinist, performing a repertoire of jazz, pop, latin, fusion and classical music. I have music degree, majoring in jazz performance on the violin. I perform on both the acoustic and electric violins. To date, I have performed at various hotels and establishments (e.g. Marina Bay Sands (Rise Lounge), The Fullerton, Clifford Pier, Conrad, Alkaff Mansion, Hard Rock Café, Gardens by the Bay, Kult Cafe, Singapore Island Country Club, The Swiss Club etc.) for several public and private events. As is the norm, I am able to learn new pieces, improvise and work with different musicians and ensembles (e.g. pop bands, string quartets/trios/duos and jazz duos/trios/bands etc.) to cater to the client’s musical preferences. As an artist, I have performed at various festivals and arts venues in Singapore and abroad, and work with established and upcoming performers and bands.
