Marcus Lee
Marcus started singing from a tender age of 6 where he joined the school choir. His’ first foray into performing was through Mediacorp’s Campus Superstar 2 coming in as the 2nd runner-up in the competition, where he shared the stage with Stephanie Sun and Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit. Since then, Marcus has explored the genres of Jazz and Rock through his experience as a Jazz Vocal Section Leader of Raffles Jazz Club and as the front man of local indie rock band "Exdee". Marcus is currently exploring the area of original music under the alias "Marcus Makes Music", and was recently selected to be part of the SHINE x *SCAPE Talent Development Programme to co-write a song with local rapper Shigga Shay.
As a versatile performer, Marcus covers a wide range of genres from pop, jazz, rock, but favors crooning out sentimental ballads, 90’s classics and jazz standards. The singer/guitarist is able to cover both English and Chinese songs, from classics to contemporary pieces.
Performance Experience:
- Campus Superstar 2, 2nd Runner Up (Male)
- Vocal Section Leader in Raffles Jazz Club, supervising and guiding fellow vocalists to explore the genre of Jazz
- Front man of indie rock band “Exdee”, playing at various charity and school events. Some notable performances include having played at Baybeats, ChildAid, and at the Opening Ceremony of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games
- Released an 11-track EP with 3-piece acoustic group "Footprint", regularly showcasing their warm and light-hearted tunes at Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS) events along Orchard Road
- Held lead roles in 2 musical theatre productions "A Christmas Tale" and "The Witness" which were arranged by composer extraordinaire Belinda Foo
