Classically trained as a pianist, and later a self-taught guitarist, Darren has since excelled on the guitar fretboard as lead and accompaniment. His beautiful melody phrasing, improvisation, and meticulous comping technique are well executed without compromising musicianship. It allows him to blend harmoniously with vocal and supporting other instrument, be it an acoustic duo or full band setup. As an avid enthusiast of alternate chord voicing, his sound has been described as "rich", "full-bodied", and "sophisticated". Darren has several years of stage experience, he also attended Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California.
